Non-Hispanic whites will become a minority in the United States by 2050, with immigrants and their children driving 82 percent of U.S. population growth in coming years, a new study said on Monday.
The U.S. population will grow to 438 million in 2050 from 296 million in 2005 if current population trends continue, the Pew Research Center study found.
Non-Hispanic whites would account for 47 percent of the total in 2050, it concluded.
By that time, one in every five Americans will be a foreign-born immigrant, compared to one in eight in 2005.
“Of the 117 million people added to the population in this period due to the effect of new immigration, 67 million will be the immigrants themselves and 50 million will be their U.S.-born children or grandchildren,” the study said.

From the candle-makers’ association to the union of potato-starch factories, to the association of the crinkled-cardboard industry, there’s hardly a pressure group missing from the European Union capital.
If you want to achieve anything in Brussels you need an office in the city. Between 15,000 and 20,000 lobbyists are said to work here for economic and professional bodies. The German Association of Fire Brigades (DVF) recently became the latest group to open an office in Brussels.
Some people might find this strange. But decisions from Brussels have an enormous impact on the everyday working life of each individual fireman, says DVF spokesman Sönke Jacobs.
The EU decides which driving license the uniform-clad heroes need, how long they’re allowed to work and what their protective clothing is supposed to look like.
However, it had taken a while for the fire brigade to realize this.
“We only discovered Brussels in the past three or four years,” Jacobs said.
The German federal states meanwhile have been trying for years to influence EU Commission officials and legislators. Each state has its own diplomatic representation, except for the city-state of Hamburg and its northern neighbour, Schleswig-Holstein, who share a building.

A national poll reveals that some 100,000 children in Israel have been sexually assaulted, but only 2.5 percent of the incidents are reported to the proper authorities.
The poll, presented at a National Council for the Child conference in Be’er Sheva on Monday, encompassed 500 polled parents.
The poll shows that 5 percent o f the parents reported that their children had been sexually harassed, and a quarter of the parents never told their children to avoid contact with strangers
Education Minister Yuli Tamir, who participated in the conference, presented data from the Central Bureau of Statistics indicating a 25 percent decline in high school drop-outs over the last three years. However, the data also shows that 22,000 students, or four percent of the national student body, still dropped out last year. According to Tamir, the decline in the drop out rate stems from a special program initiated by the Education Ministry.

“Fuck off! You fucking racist! Get yourself out of my country!” To Robb WJ Ellis, a young white recently appointed policeman in Zimbabwe just after Robert Mugabe’s accession to power, it was soon made clear what the new potentates thought of him. At the same time that Mugabe was being lauded by much of the rest of the world, his secret armies were murdering thousands of his political opponents and the ethnic cleansing of the country’s white inhabitants continued. Kenneth Wallgren reviews Robb WJ Ellis’ e-book Without Honour, a unique documentation from within African politics in practice, published earlier this year in Swedish newspaper Folkets Nyheter.
“The war was over and Robert Mugabe was the new leader of the country as its Prime Minister.
Independence came and went. The family stayed. I breathed a sigh of relief.
Mugabe had addressed the nation and had offered a “hand of reconciliation”. He wasn’t interested in what colour you were. He wasn’t interested in who you fought for pre-1980… He didn’t even care who you voted for in the election — he had secured 63% of the voters in the election that brought him and his party to power.
If you wanted to stay, you could stay. He just wanted people who would help build Zimbabwe into the pride of Africa.
And do you know the strange thing about his speech? We all believed it. We all swallowed it — hook, line and sinker.”
The excerpt above is taken from Without Honour, an e-book about Rhodesia, a grand white civilization that in 1980 was renamed Zimbabwe and subsequently turned into a black banana republic. The author, Rhodesian Robb WJ Ellis was working as a young policeman after the country’s transition to Zimbabwe. The title of the book alludes to how Robert Mugabe is serving his country without honour.

One of the little-known and least studied effects of diversity and multiculturalism is the way in which the First World is quietly sliding back into the past, a past we once thought we’d pulled our way up out of. Parts of our lives are literally beginning to go back in time.
Increasingly, our work conditions are less stable than those of our parents or grandparents. Working conditions in the American labor market, once the home of the eight-hour day, the 40-hour week, and employer-provided medical insurance, are now reverting back to the cruel and bad old days of 19th century Baron-Robber Capitalism. Instead of hiring a few more employees, most companies like Boeing will just arm twist their employees into working 50 or 60 hour weeks. This may be OK for a bachelor, but what about men with families, who’d like to spend some time with the wife and children?
Increasingly contract labor with no medical benefits is replacing old-style salaried labor. Unions have less power every year. Most jobs have zero job security so that human lives hang on the boss’s whim, a world wherein white people are worked like dogs for the longest hours and the lowest wages an employer can get away with, and then downsized when they are of no further use or when the greedy bastards in the suits decided to outsource Americans’ jobs to India or Guatemala.

French far-right leader Jean-Marie Le Pen was handed a three-month suspended jail sentence on Friday for describing the Nazi occupation of France as “not especially inhumane”.
Le Pen, 79, was found guilty of denying a crime against humanity and complicity in condoning war crimes, over the remarks made in an interview with a far-right magazine in 2005.
The veteran National Front (FN) chief was also fined 10,000 euros (14,500 dollars) for his remarks. Le Pen was not in court to hear the verdict but his lawyer said there was a “100-percent chance” his client would appeal.
Le Pen told Rivarol magazine that “in France at least the German occupation was not especially inhumane, even if there were a number of excesses — inevitable in a country of 550,000 square kilometres”.
“If the Germans had carried out mass executions across the country as the received wisdom would have it, then there wouldn’t have been any need for concentration camps for political deportees.”
The court ruled that Le Pen “tried to sow doubt over what may have been committed by the Nazis on French territory, such as the deportation of the Jews or the persecution of Resistance members, both crimes against humanity”.

Rarely a day goes by without a whopping piece of hypocrisy on the part of the British Labour Party, for much of their political life is one big act of hypocrisy. Thus this weekend we have them facing both ways at once on matters of race.
On the one hand they have joined in the general chorus of denunciation of Archbishop Booby’s suggestion that Sharia Law be afforded status and recognition, and thereby approbation, within the law of England and Wales. On this the Labour Party have got it right.
At almost the same moment, however, Labour’s deputy leader Harriett Harman is found to be supportive of the notion that the law be changed to enable ‘all-black’ shortlists to be drawn up for the selection of candidates for election to Parliament by individual constituencies.
As the report says:
White candidates should be barred from standing for Parliament in up to eight constituencies in order to get more black and Asian MPs elected, says a controversial report commissioned by Labour’s deputy leader, Harriet Harman.

As the whole world knows by now, this week the Vatican released Pope Benedict’s revised version of the traditional Good Friday prayer for the conversion of the Jews. What some feared might entail a dismantling of the traditional prayer has at least in one sense served to reinforce it.
The text of the new prayer reads as follows:
Let us also pray for the Jews: that God our Lord might enlighten their hearts, so that they might acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Savior of all mankind. Let us pray. Let us bend our knees (kneel). Please rise.
Almighty and eternal God, whose desire it is that all men might be saved and come to the knowledge of truth, grant in your mercy that as the fullness of mankind enters into your Church, all Israel may be saved, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
In his press release of February 5, 2008, the ADL’s Abe Foxman astutely observes that the revised prayer is an unambiguous deviation from the Novus Ordo “teaching” on conversion:
Alterations of language without change to the 1962 prayer’s conversionary intent amount to cosmetic revisions, while retaining the most troubling aspect for Jews, namely the desire to end the distinctive Jewish way of life. Still named the “Prayer for Conversion of the Jews,” it is a major departure from the teachings and actions of Pope Paul VI, Pope John Paul II, and numerous authoritative Catholic documents, including Nostra Aetate.

Welfare Minister Isaac Herzog wants to initiate a revolution for single-sex couples when it comes to adoption: According to the new policy Herzog has decided to promote, homosexual and lesbian couples will be able to legally adopt third-party children - meaning those children who are not the biological offspring of either of the couple’s members. This constitutes a breakthrough in the legal attitude toward the desire of same-sex couples to adopt. Until now, the legal precedent related only to situations in which one partner wanted to adopt the biological child of his/her partner, and to the Population Registry recognizing such an adoption carried out abroad. In recent months, four requests have been sent to the Social Affairs Ministry by same-sex couples who want the Children’s Welfare Service to find a child they can adopt. In addition, the same-sex couples have asked to be put on the list for adoption through government institutions. Following internal discussion in the ministry about the matter’s legal aspects, opinions have been prepared both by the Social Affairs Ministry’s legal adviser, attorney Batya Artman, and by the Justice Ministry. Last week, these legal opinions were sent to Attorney General Menachem Mazuz; they are currently awaiting his decision. Although the Justice Ministry does not consider the attention generated by the subject as a basic solution to the overall issue - it considers it as a specific solution to the couples in question - Herzog plans to treat these cases as precedents that will dictate the future work procedures for adoption by homosexuals and lesbians.

A new scanning program has revealed that the FBI and CIA have been editing Wikipedia entries on topics ranging from the Iraq war to Guantanamo.
WikiScanner, developed by CalTech graduate student Virgil Griffith, has traced editorial changes made to the online encyclopedia to FBI and CIA computers, including the removal of satellite imagery of the Guantanamo prison camp on the island of Cuba, where the United States has detained suspected terrorists since 2002, and redactions of articles on the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
The program revealed that the CIA edited entries about its former director, William Colby, altering details of his career, and that a graphic on casualties in Iraq was manipulated to downplay the figures.
A number of commercial companies were also found to have edited entries related to them, in clear violation of Wikipedia’s editorial guidelines that disqualify people or organizations from editing articles that concern them directly.
